The recruitment process for such a large base in itself is a gargantuan task. To perform this recruitment process efficiently Indian Railway has constituted a body called Railway Recruitment Board. It was established on trial basis in the year 1942 in the form of Service Commission. It was responsible for the recruitment of Subordinate Staff of the North West Railway.
